C) RULES & REGULATIONS :  

1. Accommodation Charges include authorized diet and nursing care.
2. Billing is done as per calendar date. 3
3. 100% payments can be made in cash/bank draft/pay order only. Cheques will not be accepted.
4. 4Pass for night stay in Private Room(with the patient) may be issued from The Indoor Cash Deptt..
5. For Credit cases:
   The patient should bring a letter from his company in favour of B M Birla Heart Research Centre.The letter must be countersigned by the authorized signatory.
6. Conference Room is available @ Rs.1000/-for 4-6 hours during the Operation.
7. Charges for booking and admission are as follows :

8. The grade of operation will be mentioned in the classification of operation & for such operations, which are not mentioned in the list, the grade will be decided by the Management of B M Birla Heart Research Centre.
9. In case of cancellation of bookings by the patients, cancellation charges will be
   applicable as follows.
   
   i) Operations/Cath Lab Procedures 10% of the package charges.
   ii) Investigations 10% of the investigation charges.
   iii) Accommodation booking 50% of the one day accommodation
   charges for which the booking was made.
   
10. S/Charges will be charged extra @ 10% on Consumables & Disposable only.
11.   Only single discount will be allowed even if a patient qualifies for more than one type of discount due to various schemes.
12. Refunds (if any) will be made on next working day of discharge between 5.00 p.m. to 7.OO p.m .
13.   All charges are subject to revision and rates charged in the Final Bill will be final and binding.
14.   Foreign Nationals have to pay in Foreign Currency and in case they want to pay in Indian Currency, they have to submit encashment certificate from Authorized Money Changer/Dealer.
15.   In case of transfer, service availed in the higher category of bed will be charged (for the day of transfer).
16.   Charges for certain investigations not performed by us and if required to be carried outside the Centre, will be charged as per the rates where the tests are done + 10% service charges.
17.   The Management will not be responsible for failure of A.C. Plant or any other technical/mechanical disorder in any equipment etc. No claim on such account will be entertained.
18.   Outward transfer of patients from CCU/ITU in his/her original lower accommodation cannot be guaranteed. However, such transfers can be temporarily accommodated in Room till lower beds are vacant. The patient will be charged as per the bed occupied and no rebate/concession will be entertained in such cases.
19.   STD/ISD call may be allowed to the patients/parties after getting the prior approval of the COO/Medical Director/DGM-Operation/Head-Finance & IT. Necessary forms (available with Telephone Operator) to be filled by the patient party. 25% service charges will be added to the actual cost of the call bill.
20.   Patients other than Company Patients are required to maintain a Minimum balance equal to the security deposit amount.

•  Complicated/high risk/additional/emergency/re-do operations Rs.20,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- approx. depending on the risk assessment.

•  Intra Aortic Balloon Pump Rs.16,500/- + cost of Balloon Rs.10,000/- to Rs.50,000/- approx.

• Doctors' fees extra.

E. Cath. Laboratory Charges/Pakage :

Package Includes :

•  Cath Lab Charges
•  1 day stay for Angiography, His Bundle Study, Coil emobilization, Mini EPS and SNRT.
•  2 days stay for rest of the procedures.
•  2 E.C.Gs., 2 x-rays, 1Echo Screening, (1 each for Angiography, Mini EPS/ His Bundle and SNRT).
•  Maximum permissible limit of expenses on a/c of normal consumable/medicines as per column ( f )

Additional Charges (if applicable) :
•  Expenses towards consumable/medicine over and above the maximum permissible limit mentioned in
    column (f)

•  Cost of Omnipaque, Pacemaker, Electrodes, Swanganz Catheter,

Option A – Additional Charges ( as applicable ) :

•  Room rent, investigations, medicines, consumables etc. for stay Beyond stipulated days
    (i.e. chargeable days)

•  If IABP is used, Rs.16,500/- + Cost of Balloon Rs.20,000/- - Rs.30,000/-
