B. M. Birla College of Nursing is an esteemed Institution for Nursing education in India offering Basic, Post Basic,Masters and specialized nursing education programmes through the discovery and dissemination of knowledge, through research and other scholarly activities. The college was established in the year 2003, to provide educational experience for future leaders in nursing that would include a strong ethical component. The nursing programme integrates liberal art and science with professional education required for Nursing practice. It is controlled financially by B.M.Birla Heart Research Centre, Kolkata and academically affiliated to the University of Health Sciences West Bengal . The primary objective of the college is to provide and promote education and research in the field of Nursing which is always evidence based.
The mission of the college of Nursing is to generate, disseminate and apply knowledge as it relates to nursing care of nursing care of individuals , families, and dissemination of knowledge promotes the ultimate objective of improving the quality of life through the promotion of health, the prevention of diseases, and the care of the ill and vulnerable.
