Thyroid Scan
Indicated in
Differentiation of causes of thyrotoxicosis ( subacute thyroiditis vs . Graves' disease) and detecting nodular Goiter.
Detection of ectopic thyroid tissue , such as lingual thyroid.etc.




Renogram:
Indicated in
Assessing individual renal function.
To rule out Pelvi ureteral juction obstructiion etc.

Bone Scan
Indicated in
Detecting primary bone tumour, Skeletal metastasis,
Metabolic bone disease, inflamatory and degenerative bone disease etc.

Hepatobiliary Scan
to rule out
acute cholecystitis, primary biliary atresia, biliary leak after gallbladder surgery.
bile duct obstruction.etc.

V/Q (Ventilation Perfusion) Scan
to diagnose Pulmonary embolism.

Whole body Radioiodine Scan
to detect metastasis from thyroid cancer

I-131(Radioiodine) Therapy for treatment of Thyrotoxicosis also performed in this unit.
